Hey Kevin, I don't know who's going to have the tougher time with this challenge: us trying to find a suitable image or you trying to decide a winner in this stellar round.
Here are my submissions.
#1 - Bryan Barn. Gettysburg National Battlefield Park.
#2 - Houck's Ridge. Gettysburg National Battlefield Park.
#3 - High Watermark. Gettysburg National Battlefield Park.
I grew up in San Clemente... spent lots of time around this pier (in and out of the water). When I was a kid, and before Dana Point had a harbor, they used to run day-fishing boats off the end of this pier.
Thanks for sharing it, Lisa.... lotsa memories and a very nice shot!

Thanks, Bill. During the summer, when the days are longer this is where I head after work. I park at Califia and walk to the pier and back. This particular night, these were the only clouds in the sky anywhere and just when the sun went below the horizon...the sky lit up. One of my all time favorite sunset shots... and believe me I have more than my fair share!

Yeah, I hear ya Linda. As soon as I posted the Challenge I thought "WHAT THE HECK DID I JUST GET MYSELF INTO?!". Been loving the images so far though. Some with fantastic color in them.

No Grand Canyon images, No sunset Cactus, and No SunStars.
Doesn't the same section also prohibit Seascapes, Sun settling behind awesome layers of mountains and wispy clouds? It surely restricts the use of familial displays of affection in perfect silhouette!
where did Petalgirl's images go? and few others here and there are missing too? RED X's
btw, section g 037.007.02a states:
"Displays of affection" are allowed with also the encouragement to have Judge suggest preferred tones/colors if necessary via PM.
Everyone, I love your shots! I have a few favorites and hope they do well, KevX is unpredictable!
p.s. My wife even wants to buy one out of this round of images... aint that a kick in the ars!:D
Aaron, I've PM'd those whose links seem to be broken. With all of the great images so far I'm debating whether I should go with the Eeny, Meeny, Miney, Moe method or the One Potato, Two Potato one.
Oh, and suggestions only get PM'd AFTER the bribe has actually been received.
This is a most excellent theme Kevin! And possibly the finest group of entries I've seen for any challenge. Stunning entries every one.
I just got back from vacation and I figured whatever the main challenge theme was I'd have something that fit it. Turns out to be Norman Rockwell; ugh. I only get people in my shots by accident. Sunrises and sunsets, however, are something I absolutely love. I have so many in the archives that I wouldn't know how to narrow it down to 3 so I will use 3 fresh ones from this trip. Thanks for saving me Kevin.
Thanks very much Dave. I give a lot of credit to the beautiful island we were on, even I couldn't muck up the photos too bad.
And I've always liked that avatar photo as well. I took it with a point and shoot in my days between film SLR and my first digital. I was very lucky that morning. The whole world was gold and I took as many shots as I could of a pelican crossing in front of the sun. Three I think, at about one per second. I happened to catch it's wings perfectly reflected in the water. Here's a look at it. Not for entry, just for fun.
One more day folks. There have been a lot of great images posted already but I'm just wonder if someone who hasn't shared yet has a few that they would like to contribute. Excellent work so far people!

I'm always surprised that we don't see this more often. Totally within the rules. And might I say, "Well played Dave".
