#3 is the best by far. The balance of what detail is shown in the DOF is the best. The others leave you wanting to be able to see the rest of the flower, while #3 provides a more complete resolve of the different features.

Thanks for your input on these. I also like #3 the best. Had some others with more of the flower in focus but discovered a distracting fiber only when looking at them on my computer.
I have really needed the R & R aspects of photography these past few weeks but haven't been able to make it happen because of a family crisis or two. So it was great to pick up the camera again - even if just for a short while.
