Problem with posting pictures on some forums.

I one of my hobbies is military modelling. Over the years I have accumulated hundreds, if not thousands, of photos taken at model shows. I like to share them on various related forums and, with most, the links provided by SmugMug work fine. On some forums all I get, when I add the link and preview my post, is just the text that the link comprises of, no picture shows. It seems to be sites using Network54 that I have the most difficulty.

I know I can post a link to my gallery but I want to show people the sort of pictures they will find or, sometimes, just a single photo.

Basically; I am asking: are there some sites that are incompatible with SmugMug?

Different forums have different ways of handling image embeds. For most forums, you can use the forum links you see when you click Share > Get a Link > Embeddable links in your SmugMug gallery. Some forums might not accept this link format though.

Google turned up this help page, which seems to indicate that you may not need the embeddable link format for Network54:

If I'm reading this correctly, you should be able to simply click Share > Get a link, and copy the photo link for the size you want to embed in the forum, and just use that link. If you have more questions, you might inquire with the particular forum itself to see if they have any special guidelines or requirements for formatting embedded image links.

Thanks for taking the time to help. Based on something in a reply I got, on the forum where the problem was happening, I tried a few things and, finally, narrowed it down to which browser I was using. If I used IE8 i had no luck but when I used Firefox things worked fine.
