DXO has posted their results for the D4 sensor.

It outperforms the D3s in most areas except for their Sport (low light) score.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

The best for a full frame DSLR but second to the Phase One.

Dang, and I was hoping that the used prices for the D3s would drop considerably. I guess I'll just wait for the D700 used price drop, courtesy of the $2200 new price tag...

    Happy camper here!

This is an absolutely wonderful showing for the Nikon D4, and certainly positions it as a landmark in Nikon development.

While most of the DR improvement is at lower ISOs, around 1 stop of extra DR at ISO 50 and ISO 100, it loses nothing at the higher ISOs, despite the denser pixels.

    Bravo Nikon. thumb.gifclap
