I drove by the San Luis NWR on the way to work Thursday with the intention of shooting landscape stuff...no Elk. Well I saw these guys real close to the fence so I couldn't pass up the opportunity!

We are ~100 miles south of Sacremento on highway 99. The refuge is near Los Banos on highway 165.
