If you look hard you can see the brown spec that is the man and carabao in the 2nd shot.

    That is super cool! MORE!

I prefer the wide shot, but I would sure take that 500 off your hands.:D

Oh wow, that photo of the Philippines look gorgeous! Is that taken in Cebu? I used to live in Davao City when I was very young. I wish I could go back there and go on a photo trek.

    Very impressive!
I knew there is a difference but I never thought it would be so dramatic!!!

In Bohol. Each of those pics shows up in other threads about the content. I just thought that the contrast was extraordinary, so decided to put them together to show the 'forest vs the leaf.'

To be fair, the 500mm shot shows actual pixels while the 24mm shot shows full frame.

It is a big heavy lens. You probably would get tired of lugging it very quickly.

You'd never know that the man and the caraboa are even in the wide angle shot... it's lovely and green there too..... where were these taken?

Sagbayan on the island of Bohol in Cebu Province, Philippines. The island of Cebu
and the island of Bohol are a couple of hours apart by ferry, but the language
variant is sufficient that my wife speaking Cebuano Visayan could not understand
the Visayan of Bohol. With the 500mm you can see the details of buildings in Cebu City.
Bear in mind that Sagbayan was a 45 minute drive from the coast and that Cebu City is
another 75k (47 miles) across the water.
