Domain Question

Here is my pickle I currently have a domain pointed to my smugmug pro account but I have a new domain coming available soon. (A variation of the original Domain) If I change domains what happens to my previously shortened links such as http://smu.gs/xF2XJM that goes to specific galleries.

1. As Smugmug only handels the the CNAME and the A Record
If I point the second domain to smug mug update the Control Panel and if I don't change my nickname but just change the pointing domain at my registrar will Smug mug still allow the old links to work?

2. Could we have two domains pointing to the same Smugmug account???? ( if not I can place a holding page that redirects the old Domain to the new one)

    Hi,

    Thanks for writing.

    SmugMug supports one domain name only, however what you can do is in your domain registrar/web host settings, you can redirect the 2nd one to the first one and then they would both go to the same place. :)

    As long as the link has the gallery number and key at the end it will be redirected to the correct gallery.

    If it does not work I can always do it the other way that was suggested by Tristan
