I'm trying to use the domain pointer to use a registered name from netfirms to my smug pro account. The help info supplied is incomprehensible at best. How do I do it??????

There's not much to it, that's why our help page is pretty simple
1. Go to the place on your netfirms account where you can set a CNAME Alias. Set a CNAME Alias for your www.example.com domain to domains.smugmug.com
2. If you also want to be able to use http://example.com then set an A-record to our IP address (listed on the help page): http://help.smugmug.com/customer/portal/articles/93340
