These spiders are quite the bold ones. Oh they'll run away but they very quickly come out to see what the craic is

Ps, I believe it to be female as I can't really see those boxing glove palps.

Lovely series Ian, think you're right on the sex, easier to tell in about a months time when the males go very dark on top.

Cheers Phil, only things I've seen my garden so far are the Wolf spiders and some tiny little digger wasps which just will NOT stay still.

Heheh, Thanks Linda. The guys here taught me that the male spiders have what look like Boxing gloves in between their fore legs.
