I ran across this great horned owl this weekend... it watched me as I was trying to get a good shot through all the branches in the tree, when I glanced to my right and found another sitting on a branch fast asleep. I took photos of both, but here's the one with it's eyes open...

Very good Karl. With owls the eyes are essential, they really stand out when open.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Very nice capture. Owls have been showing up lately in our part of the world. What makes it special is that sometimes you will be able to see the whole family.
