Since the last smugmug update, my website has been taking a good minute and sometimes longer to load.

I've tried with both chrome and safari. I'm in Australia.

can someone test it and tell me if they have the same issue?

If I was a potential client, I would be moving on after a few seconds if it hadn't loaded by then.

Edit: its happening on every page too not just the homepage.

Well from Belgium I can tell you that your site is loading quite quickly - 2 to 3 seconds.

Until someone more knowledgeable comes along can I suggest:

    1. Try using the Timeline under Developer Tools in Chrome (it's under the tools menu). It can give you clues to what is happening during the loading of your site which might help you work out where the problem it. Similar tools exist in IE. I tried here but there isn't anything obvious showing up

    2. I would try switching off the GooglePlusOne and facebook links to see if that helps.

    3. Is there a reason for hosting your video on Video rather than SmugMug? I know that isn't the problem as you have the same problem on all pages.

Finally, do you possibly have an ISP problem? We have someone working from Melrbourne at the moment and the turnaround delays to our office are horribly slow. A speedtest.net connection to the Smugmug test point should answer that question http://dgrin.smugmug.com/Tutorials/SmugMug-Uploading-Tests/How-To-Run-a-Speed-Test-to/3385961_R39Bzc

    Good luck

Loaded instantly for me here in NY. Please email our Support Heroes, we can do some diagnostics on your connection. http://help.smugmug.com

thanks guys I will do both those things. It's definitely not an internet connection thing as every other web page on the net is loading fine.

I have the vimeo clip up because smugmug videos take way too long to buffer vs vimeo and being the homepage I don't want people waiting for it if they chose to press play.

Loads fast, like 1-2 seconds on a gbit-link in Norway.
Have you tried clearing your browsers cache? it would make your browser see the page with "fresh eyes".
Also, I would restart the computer and power-cycle your router, especially if it's wireless.
