Very nice. The shadow of the clouds on the landscape makes for a dramatic image.

Thanks Dave - I do too but need to work on the sky/shadows in the back...can't seem to get the bluish cast out.

Score another one for #2. It has a totally different feel due to the much stronger composition. Great example of how two images of the same landscape can carry different emotional responses, and how important compositional elements are in generating that feeling. My only suggestion would be to try lowering the exposure value of the right foreground mountain. It might enhance more of the detail and texture.

thanks everyone. I prefer the second because of the shadows...but the shadows in the b/g need work I think...
