Breaking Storm

I was able to capture what I thought would be a nice image today in the mountains of So. California. It really was a somewhat dull blue/gray scene but I was hopeful I could pull out the rays and separate the hills from one another. I think it worked.

Wow Robert! You did do a spectacular job separating the mountains. I love how the changes in the shades of grey really give you a sense of depth. And the light rays are a nice bonus. You've inspired me to try the same here with the Appalacians when I get the opportunity. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks, it's funny you mention the road. As I composed the shot I thought I would end up cloning out the road. However, once I saw it on the screen I knew it had to stay.

This scene is gorgeous and totally reminds of my youth growning up oin SoCal and working in the San Gabrail mountains driving the Angeles Crest Hwy. I remember scenes just like this. Of course that was before I took pictures. Very nicely seen, captured and processed!

Again, thank you all. I was in Mexico for a few days and came back to all of these nice comments. Sad to leave the beach, but nice to come home to the comments!
