Qarik, these are gorgeous! Whole set is nice - really beautiful colours you've captured - but I especially like 2 (what a face!) and 4 (even though she has a flower growing out of the back of her head :D).

Really beautiful stuff. The kids are captured really well, and I like your art/editorial work with the hands. How old is the girl for whom the ceremony was held?

Thanks all..the girls were 9 and 11, kinda like a coming of age ceremony where they transistion from "girl" to "lady" sarees.

Beutiful. #3 is my favorite, and #5 though technically not perfect, tell a great story and is a joy to explore.

These are amazing shots from an interesting group. I LOVE the hands shot, I love the kids, but I cannot take my eyes off that kid in #2. Thank you so much for sharing these, I really enjoyed them.

Thanks for looking and commenting all. I don't enjoy posed portraiture, or studio type work, I really enjoy entering a situation..evaluating the light, the people, the scenes, the backgrounds..then rolling with it and capturing the best images that I can. Its the process and challenge I enjoy as much as the final result I think.

Can't believe I missed the first time around. Glad someone bumped this thread. Really awesome stuff.

I particular like #5. Really nice use of your wide angle.
