Theatre group kids

I was asked to do some shots of the cast of the local theatre group that my daughter goes to, mainly for printing in their programme for the next show.

I took the backdrop, and 2 lights. I had one light on the background (from the right) and I had that flagged to avoid spill onto the kids. The other light was camera left, just behind and a little above, with shoot through umbrella. I wanted nice clean images for printing (the printing may or may not be top quality, so subtleties in the images may not translate).

I can't post the actual images that are going in the programme just yet, but I did take these 4 kids out of the way for a while while I was waiting for some of the adult cast to arrive. It kept the kids out of trouble! :)

So, how do they look, do you think?

You did a great job of capturing the kids' personalities, and it looks like everyone had fun. I'm not a big fan of the white cloth though -- it kind of messy compared to seamless. All the shots also look just a tiny bit underexposed, and the white isn't quite blown out (I like the white totally blown out when you're shooting high key white backgrounds -- it just looks sharper).

Thanks. Yes, I noticed the floor cloth. a vinyl backdrop is on my shopping list for that continuous thing.
Are there any areas where I missed the blowing out, other than at the floor?

    Cheers
