In the south west of Bolivia

arriving in the town of Uyuni i went on a 3 day jeep tour to....


the salt flats of Uyuni

as it was the end of the rainy season, large areas of the salt flats were under (a few inches) of water

then it was off to see lakes and mountains

    Nice! I was there a few months ago, just before the rainy season. A bit drier then :-)

    Wow, that reflection is amazing! Ahh, I need to get out more. And yeah, anytime you go past f/8 or so on full-frame wider than 35mm, ...get ready for dust! :-(

    I lived in Bolivia for some years and the salt flats is one of my favorite places on this earth.
    I love your reflection shots.

    Bolivia doesn't get mentioned enough on tourist sites, but it is a gorgeous country and the high altitude of La Paz gives you killer views too. Any landscape shooter should visit if they are able to.

    Thank you for reminding me of some of its beauty.
