Just reworked one of my best 2011 images in Lightroom 4. The image won the National Geographic photo of the day award. The story of the shot can be found below:
While island hopping around the Bahamas in a Cessna C172 SP, I photographed this Curtiss C-46 which ditched on Nov 15, 1980. It crashed while it was on a drug smuggling mission for the Columbian Medellin drug cartel and lies in shallow water East of the Norman's Cay airport in the Exumas.
Lengthy internet research paid of!
More on this and more can be found on my blog at: http://bjornmoerman.blogspot.com/2011/12/pick-of-week-47-turquoise-water.html
Feel free to critique!
