Uploading picture order

Is there a way to have all photos that are uploaded to existing galleries end up on the top of the page instead of the bottom without changing the order of the pre placed photos?

You have two options on the galleries / gallery categories box on your homepage - set 'sort' by:
1. most recent - in which case the categories / galleries would be displayed by the date last modified
2. position - categories / galleries would be displayed in the order you arrange them to. New galleries are added to the bottom. Use the 'arrange' link on each page to change the order.
