Little Schoolhouses - Worlds Apart

The photo of the first schoolhouse was taken in Capital Reef NP, Utah. It is the Fruita School in the historic Mormon farming community of Fruita. Several buildings and pieces of equipment are preserved and on display in the park.

The photo of the second schoolhouse is the Little Greenbrier School in the Great Smoky Mountains NP and is located in the Metcalf Bottoms area a short distance behind the road leading out of the rear of the picnic area. It is also the location where I had the encounter with the Mourning Warbler in the Nature & Wildlife forum.

As always - comments and suggestions are welcome.

Thanks, Andy. Your comments are always appreciate. As to the sunrays - I had actually finished shooting and was driving away up a hill when I looked back and saw the scene. I hit the brakes and grabbed the camera.

...and you're fast. I had hardly hit the submit button. :):

These are really nice. I love #2... The sun rays and the little bit of red in the top left corner. NICE thumb.gif

I would frame both and put them up. :D

    peace.
