Thanks for the link. The primary reasom I ordered a D4 was the promised improvement to the already good D3s' AF. Its good to hear that the promise is a reality especially from a source like Andy Rouse.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

    What a great review! thumb.gif
but not at the expense of the excellent D3s noise performance. So the D4 has a lot to beat and this is where I concentrated the testing. Forget megapixels, they are over rated.

On my Owl Workshop the clients challenged me to let it rip, so I took 102 consecutive RAWS on the motordrive at 10 fps before I took my finger off the shutter button. Amaaaazing.

Thanks for the link! So it's interesting that single point focus with 9 friends is better than 3-d tracking. Just from the name, one would think 3d tracking would be better for tracking moving stuff. What would 3d tracking be for then?
If my D4 ever shows up, I will have to try this stuff out...

I'm still waiting on the D4 and I use the 3D tracking AF on the D3s. Its very effective when you don't have a distracting BG which was the case with Andy's owl captures.
