Bonnie, it DOESN'T WORK. Don't believe the SmugMug PR machine. I have 3 outstanding help requests from 10, 8, and 1 month ago. I doubt I'll ever get a response.
Ouch, PHOTOK, I want to find out what the problem is. Is the email address you've emailed us from the same as on your account at Dgrin?

Two were sent via email. One was posted on a forum. Frankly, the first two are no longer relevant. The only one that matters is the most recent one where I inquired as to why, suddenly about 2 months ago, SM stopped charging sales tax on digital download purchases.

Kevin Wilson replied to me within a few hours with:

"I'll get some QA folks and engineers to take a look at these orders to see what might have happened here. "

After a week of hearing nothing I followed up and got this response from Lindy Wilson:

"We haven't got any more information for you, but we have bumped your sales tax issue so our QA team, and the engineer will be reminded of the importance,"

That was more than two weeks ago now. I guess money issues don't have very high importance within SmugMug.

Just like other issues with SM, I've learned to live with it.

PHOTOK, I can't find you in our system unless you tell me your site and email address - would you please do that, http://help.smugmug.com ATTN: ANDY and I promise that we'll get this resolved. We take every single email and chat we get seriously, and answer every one. If we've failed, I want to fix that.

It's very important to us, and our last reply to you was that we are having our QA team looking into this. I don't have a further update, but I can tell you I just escalated this. Thanks.

I'd go to a Smugmug user's group meeting nearby. Seems like there's several in the state:

Hi Andy. Thanks for your encouragement. In fact, I made that post after months of "trying it" and the accumulating resulting frustration. I'm not a computer person; I'm an artist, trying to get my work out into the world. I'm doing my best to get my site up and running using your e-mail support machine and I'm just going around in circles. The lack of continuity has really pushed me over the edge today! Here's one example: I spent all day yesterday sending e-mails back and forth to try to figure out what to do about the prints and items that will have to be redone. I sent photos of all the problems, dividing them up into 3 e-mails, so as not to overburden our fragile Internet connection here. I sent them all with attn to Wendee, but I received responses from 3 different people. Today, I received an e-mail from Wendee, wanting to redo the images that i sent to her in the first e-mail. I wrote back to her, asking about the other items in the 2nd and 3rd e-mails, and I received a response from yet another person, telling me that SmugMug never received the 2nd and 3rd sets of photos. Are you trying to make me crazy? Can you help me wrap up the work that needs to be done in order to make my site ready to announce to the world? I have a letter ready to go out to 2500 people telling them about finding my work on SmugMug. It's been ready and waiting for months. Please, instead of telling me what you think I need, help me with what I Really need...find someone who can look at my site and quickly talk me thru the remaining tasks. (Phone or Skype) A session or two will quickly get my letter out. I'm really looking forward to being a happy camper. :-) Thanks, Bonnie
