A common hoverfly settled on the bay shrub, bright conditions but a blustery day made it harder than it should have been to capture.

Like the angle but not keen on the harsh light.

The other problem being affected by the light are the white patches in the leaves which exaggerated the brightness still further.

I need to train the hovers to land on the all green leaves!
