Will - I'm digging the shots. Are you using a 70-200 with a 1.4 or 2.0 converter on these shots? If you are, they are awesomely sharp. Help an aspiring guy out here.
Will, good stuff as usual. Maybe one day I'll get to shoot LAX in daylight. I'll post a thread tomorrow of some high-school-stadium-light LAX. Blrrgg . . .

D3s, D500, D5300, and way more glass than the wife knows about.
Jim, I'm using a Sigma 50-500. I probably should get a teleconverter which I think would still give me a wider aperature on my 70-200 than the the Sigma at the long end. Can't remember if it is f5.6 or 6.3 at 500.
When I have good light, the AF on my old 30D does okay. Especially when the subject takes up a big portion of the frame. Then just a touch of un-sharp mask with a hundred year old version of Photoshop Elements....

I honestly believe I will win the lottery before I will get to shoot LAX or Football during the light.. Don't get me started on the other HS Sports in FL.. Speaking of HS Stadium lights, love the trend of short light poles that light 1/2 the fields creating shadows on the other half.. FUN..

Thanks Will, I've tried to handhold the 70-200 with a 2x converter on it. Not so good. I also remember it being overcast, so I'm sure I was shooting slower than I should have been. Next game in bright sun, I'm going to use it and a monopod and see how it works. I'll post the results here.
