Cute :) I think it is a good picture but not a super enticing/gripping one. For that I think the bird needs more connection with the camera since just his head is showing. Need eye contact or something to make up for not having any detail other than his face looking away from us.

I'm lucky I got anything. This thing is 4 or 5 inches in diameter and up in a tree. I had a 100 mm macro lens on a ff body, and you want perfection rolleyes1.gif I have never seen a hummingbird nest. Thought it might be cool to show it, but I'm not hanging it in my gallery.

Thanks for posting Dan and a Big pat on the back for finding it :)

The last few years I've only had a half dozen or so individuals visiting my "yard" and I have yet to find a nest, sigh...

    Cheers, Don

Good capture Dan. Its good to see you taking a break here in wildlife after all of these outstanding landscapes you've been posting.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

I've never seen a hummingbird nest either, nor caught one being so still. I bet it will be a while before you or I see another! Best, Pam
