    Nice captures Ric.

I get a lot of those new "most favorite place on earth" feelings as well as I travel to new locations.

Too many locations, not enough time. :cry

Very nice shots, Ric. Wish I could go there.

Looks like 70 people have enjoyed your shots, but have not taken the time to comment. Just want to say that I wish I could have been there to see the fog on the water. Nice moment. thumb.gif

They are beautiful! And I was not one of the 70 folks who did not comment, not this time. First I have seen this. I am glad that it was bumped.

    Love them favorite places!

And yours is beautiful, well done photography, too.

I missed this one somehow. #1 reminds me soooo much of camping in Washington state, near a little town called Granite Falls. Thank you for reminding me what it was like to live around real trees! I want to be there!

Nice work; but I'm biased ... Glennie and I live about two hours from Alginquin Park. clap.gifclap.gif WELCOME TO CANADA clap.gifclap.gifthumb.gifthumb.gif !!!

Have you tried to print #2? The reason I ask is that I have several similar shots where the sun and its reflection are blown out to white. They look great on my monitor but when I print them I get a cyan halo around the blown out areas. I thought it was the camera but it happens with both my camera and Glennie's. I took a file into a local Blacks photo lab and had them print it via conventional process on Fuji paper and GOT THE SAME RESULT. Can anybody 'splain this to me?

This is a very difficult exposure....I rely on luck!!! rolleyes1.gif

Since it was our 35th wedding anniversary trip, we missed the region between Port Huron and APP, because we went to Niagara Falls first. The QEW is god awful...but a necessary evil. When we left APP, we took the north route via Sault Ste. Marie. Next time!:D

Algonquin is a special place on this good earth. thumb.gif
