The first pair was influenced by an album cover of The Shadows:

The second pair (which are of the same origin) was harder to shoot. I had to go a bit abstract with it. It looks like some kind of megadeath guitar (if it looks like a guitar at all), but actually it's an acoustic:

C&C are most welcome!

Thanks a lot

Good idea the image is really intresting, but I think it would really make the picture if you had your hand higher up the neck of the guitar to make the outlines more distinct
    well shot!

Thanks, I really appreciate your input.

I think I'll pass on this challenge though...

I'de rather see you take part Richard and I'm sure others would too. I like the idea behind the 1st shot, I feel the 2nd is a little too vague.
Nobody (if I remember rightly) has touched yet on the theme of music as the core subject and with a guitar there are plenty of opportunities for a good shot. Has your camera got a slow sync feature on the flash, if so i have seen a few impressive shots with movement/lighting whilst playing the guitar. (just an idea).

Should you miss this one, make sure you have a crack at the next. More the merrier :D

Thanks for the encouragement snap. I just don't have time to try it right now, but I sure will use your ideas some day soon hopefully.
