Early Spring At Shenandoah National Park

I finally got back to Shenandoah this spring. The weather was great. The lower altitudes (<1000 feet) definitely had the leaves on the trees. At 3500 feet the trees were just producing the leaf buds.
So, the family and I went for a few hikes. On one hike we arrived at Rose River Falls about a mile off of Skyline Drive.
We also spent some time at Big Meadows where we were able to get up to about 10 feet from the deer.
The scene in Big Meadows is always fantastic.
From our balcony at Skyland Lodge we could see the Luray Valley. The moon is about 3/4 full, so it added a lot of ambient light to this 1/2 hour exposure. I darkened this some in post-processing. That large blob of light pollution is the parking lot of the local WalMart.
And then I shot this mid-day panorama from Little Stony Man.

Regarding image #4, I love the trees in the foreground, the colors and the layering, but I'd suggest one change - to crop out the background trees, as they compete with the subject foreground, which distracts the eye. Eliminating the background trees also simplifies the image.
