Bay Area flower explosion

I have been so ready to see more Spring flowers this year. I really wanted to go to the wooden shoe tulip festival going on in Oregon right now. But I just don't have the time to head to the PNW yet. I'll probably go more around the time when the Columbia River Gorge is in bloom. So I researched tulips and daffodil farms around the Bay area. That's when I discovered the Filoli gardens - over 600 acres of flowers and other cool things. Anyway I took my there family yesterday and was blown away! I think this is the most incredible botanical garden I have ever seen. There were awesome tulip displays amoung other things. The biggest downside for photographers are the hours - 10-3:30PM. Although I did find out they have special days for artists/photographers to later. Either way if you visit the Bay Area this is definately worth checking out in th Spring.

Thanks Joel, if you take your family you will not regret it. Its like the Garden of Eden right now, its heavenly out of this world! thumb.gif Even the smell is intoxicating. And it also makes an awesome place to shoot some family photos. For pro shoots you have to coordinate with the grounds keepers.
