Only sign of life was this midge on the concrete part of the gate post this evening. Ian Clark visited for a couple of hours today but the rain prevented any photos getting taken in earnest.

Eventually, after tea (and 2 hours+ after Ian had left) I found the bug. Odd position, seemed to be in a sort of "praying" position.

Found a wee caterpillar later, but couldn't get a decent shot to save my life of it for some reason - well, one reason - it didn't have the ability to walk across a leaf - just kept falling off so I gave up.
