#1: Context shot??? I just don't "get it"? But I'm sure that is my fault ... not yours. I'm just not sure why you took the shot. Since it is a static shot, I'm assuming you had time to compose this more critically than an action shot. If that is true then I would like the player to have a bit more ground to "stand" on, and maybe a bit more space on the top for the sign to sit in?
#2: Love this one. It is all about the player and the effort he is putting in. That expression is excellent and I like the crop/composition that draws the eye to his face.
#3: Brilliant catch (my only minor niggle would be that I would like a tiny bit more room on the right and top). This image has it all. Context - love the part view of the umpire on the left. You don't need to see all of him. He provides a great frame for that side and keeps the viewer's eye in the frame and focussed on the action. The spray of dirt/dust emphasises the action and the baseman's expression adds to the dynamics of the moment. You timing is superb.
#4: Really like your low POV here. The addition of the catcher's mitt is a nice touch. Timing is great with the ball and the slight blurring os both bat and ball add to the action. The background really sets the context and puts the viewer right in the game. We can sense the type of game we are at. Nicely blurred with your aperture wide open.
#5: Really nice. Composition is great and concentration of the player makes this image. Your timing is excellent.
#6: Like this one (crop is a little tight ... for me on the left and top). Background works a treat here. Eyes and blown out cheeks are great capture
Nice sharpness to all of them. Thanks for sharing ... I enjoyed this set.
