Its been some time since my last shoot and now that I'm on a more mellow rotation I 'll have much more time for photography. As usual, Jeff and Ben helped me get back into the groove.
We were greeted right away by the flight of the pelicans
I'm still just a beginner in the Art of the Osprey, but some more time with my Nikonian friends may help to increase my skill level.
Here's a quick hint if you're shooting with Jeff and Ben: wear tough long pants not workout shorts. These guys went on a quest for a raptor shot through the mother of all scree fields and I was foolish enough to follow. After 3 showers, I still picking briars out of places I didn't know existed
Still working on my unicorn: the cormorant in flight shot
I'll spare you the commentary on the rest
All in all a wonderful day shooting and I also had the pleasure of meeting forum member Dallas. Thanks for helping me get back into things lads!
Thanks for hanging in there for a very long post!!

all of em are good to great
couple nit's ready .............
Peli's and commorrants could use a tad less exposure (no worries blew out most of mine too)
Hawk shot is sweet, but use the clone and or healing brush to remove offending branch, then I think it would be perfect!
GBH on pole could use a little fill flash or a levels layer PS to bring out details.
the rest pretty much rock, always a pleasure to have your company, besides Jeff may need EMT attention any day now !! :lol4
Whine Whine ........... Yo if you gonna play in the big leagues better come dressed for success !! :rambo :lol

Yeah the pelis were tough on me, but I didnt see any zero's on the PS dropper so I let it slide. Good thing for me to keep in mind for next time.
I have a cloned version of the hawk, but I was so proud to have shot it from the bush
As always, I appreciate the suggestions!! Keep em coming

Naw, you are already there. Excellent shots; especially the ones of the pelicans taking flight from the water.

Thanks Maestro! That shot was my favorite of the bunch as well. It may not be technically perfect, by it is different and was kinda exciting to watch happen.
