More from my small part of Alaska...

One evening in September, my wife and I made the 15-minute drive to the Knik River in the Matanuska-Susitna Valley in the hope of catching a nice sunset. The color we were hoping for never developed but while we were waiting, a family showed up with their boat in tow. For some reason, they decided not to launch but this little girl went down to the water for just a moment.

My camera was already mounted on the tripod and I hurriedly reframed to make this one capture. When she heard the shutter trip, she ran off as if she thought she'd done something wrong. This is the result...

    PetersCreek....
This is just one of those shoots that come along all-too infrequently - excellent job on capturing the moment.

Thanks for sharing...looking forward to more photos of Alaska,

I find this pic very appealing.

It looks like she is touching that sweet light.

Ah - very nice. definitely a 'moment' captured. Congrats on the good luck. You've got a great foundation to build upon. A little post processing could really help.
