A visit to Popeye Lake
I bought a Sigma 70-200mm f2.8 OS today. I know it isn't the best lens for birding, but this was the most convenient place to try it out. Since this was one of my first efforts, I'd love to hear any comments you might have on how to improve. If not, I hope you enjoy seeing some birds from Australia! Thanks for looking.
I went here.
And saw these. Pardon my ignorance, but I don't know what most of these are.

I would consider to crop the black bird out of the first one and the grass out of the 7th.

Two things I noticed. First your highlights are hot. You're shooting in aperture priority so you should be making EV adjustments based on the lighting conditions. I talk about that a bit in this tute"]tute.
Second you want to watch your comp to eliminate or minimize distractions that take the eye away from your subject.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
