View setting?

Please forgive me I'm new here. I'm unsure where to post my question but here goes....

I do the best I can with sharpening in post and want my results to be seen as favourably as possible. I'm unsure on which setting to use for view (x2 or whatever....). I appreciate that everyone views everything these days on different platforms with completely different screens so is it better if I re-find the setting that allows me to let the browser fill the screen?

Thanks for your forbearance and I apologise if I've posted in the wrong place.

Jim

    HI Jim, welcome wave.gif
Upload your full size files, and we make 8 display copies. If you have your site set to stretchy, we'll automagically fill the screen with the largest size main photo for your viewer's screen / window / device. Let's see your website please? ear.gif

Hi Andy, thank you for writing. My site has not even reached the status of 'pure embarrassment' yet but I'll give it some attention over the coming week or so :)

    Hi Andy

I've spent an hour or so downloading Jfriend's excellent slideshow stuff and even I can make it work. Filled with 'false confidence' I tried to follow Ivar's navbar tutorial but my ship foundered.
My results are pathethic but I'm eager to learn.
I've just stuck a lousy gallery into the homepage link just to get something rolling but I'd like to have the s/s play at full width and be able to adjust the height. I'll try to work out how to shift the navbar on to the 'top line'. I know that my first attempt is dire but reasons beyond this discussion I always try to do everything for myself.

Your own site at MoonRiver is really beautiful and I'd like to emulate your style. The content I may struggle with somehow ....
I confess to being old enough to remember watching another Andy Williams.

    Best wishes
