Spotted a median wasp queen cruising towards the Euphorbia flower heads in the front garden and followed it over to see what it got upto. thought initially it was after some nectar as I had photographed it drinking some before. It became apparent it had protein on it's mind when it started diving in after other feeding insects- flies and hovers, after several misses it grabbed a bluebottle fly, flew over to a camelia bush and then hung upside down from a leaf by one leg and started demolishing the fly. Only problem it was about 7 feet up in the air.
Managed the first shot from underneath but then was able to gently bend the branch down it was on for some better angle shots although it was swaying around in the breeze.
