I finally got some decent images of these American Red wolves without their enclosure fence in the picture. These are two of only about 300 of these guys left on the planet so we are privileged to care for them:

    Thanks guys.

You have no idea how shy and elusive these guys are. Even though we know they are in their enclosure ( about 3 acres), it's not uncommon not to even see them for a week at a time ( except on web cams).

I got these AFTER I had been there for 1.5 hours and was actually walking away when they came out of the woods.

    Thanks Dennis.

    # 5 is the clear winner, even to me. It was shot at 200mm so that will give you an idea of how far from me he stayed even when checking me out.

    John:
All five pictures are very good.
Like the colors, the way you were able to catch them been so elusive.
To my old eye, 4 and 5 are both winners.
To hang in my wall, no doubts, # 5.
    Nice job.

#5 is the best, but they are wonderful, and especially considering how wary they are. Thanks for posting--I've never seen one of these before. Best, Pam

Already been said, but # 5 is a stand out, love that eye contact! That said, all are great! I really enjoy shooting captive animals and making them look anything but. You have definitely done a great job of that here!
