Pretty. Actually, that's Manly Beacon, Red Cathedral and Golden Canyon
    Anybody can do it.

Thanks, Walter. Maybe you could explain what exactly Zabriskie Point is in all that. I go there, and I'm looking out over Golden Canyon, seeing Manly Beacon and the rest, but I'm not sure if it's all Zabriskie? Or is the observation area on top of Zabriskie? ne_nau.gif

Zabriskie point is just the actual observation point where the usual shots are taken from.

You've a different take on the formations here. Looks like you went up the ridge between Golden Canyon and Gower Gulch--at least I don't remember the trail from the point down to the canyon going that far from the beacon.

The whole area below Zabriskie; Golden Canyon, Red Cathedral, Gower Gulch is worth exploring if you haven't already. Attractively barren. Red Cathedral is exceptionally challenging to sort out.
    Anybody can do it.

Thanks, Walter. I had wondered about all that. We walked down from the top and up from the bottom of Golden Canyon while we were there. I'd love to explore Red Cathedral, sounds interesting!

I always wanted to lie naked on a bearskin rug in front of a fireplace. Cracker Barrel didn't take kindly to it.

Love it! Great lighting and colors. I need to get Photoshop so I can stitch together all those dualies I shot with the 24 T/S :-)
