Smugmug search Question

It was brought to my attention the search does not find the images by filename but gives a large assortment of images. For instance a person was looking for an image named: TP-11-2323-11-01 for instance and it brought up 20 different photos which confused them. Is there a way to make the search more tighter so it grabs just the one photo?

I tried searching that filename, and got zero results. That leads me to believe that you're searching from your site, only. The dashes are stripped as well. I just used an example name. I was not sure if that file name was in gallery. To search try this: TP-12-3312-172
I come up with way to many images and just the one.

I checked out one of your galleries and it seems that you don't have your filename added as caption or keyword of the photo. Filenames itself are not searchable. You could only add photo specific content you'd like to be available for search into caption/keyword.

Note that keywords can't contain any special characters except spaces - anything else is filtered out.

In regards to your filenames, once added to captions, I'm not sure if how well they would work with search as Lindy mentioned the dashes in search are likely to be filtered out. You could only give it a try on a few photos, let them index and then try a search.
