What a great shot David. The colors in the sky are amazing but what really makes the shot is the composition. Nice lines leading me right into the landscape. Well done.

Yes, I used the RRS Pano kit. The pano is actually much wider, but I decided the extra width didn't help the comp. I tend to guess on the nodal point, however, I should be more systematic about that.
I dig those colors and like the composition too. Hoe many pictures did you take for this pano?
I forget. I know that I cropped off the sides, so I shot more frames than I used. I shot it with a portrait orientation, so I imagine it's 4-5 images in there.
