Woodburn Oregon Tulip Fest

Finally made it down to Woodburn this evening for the Tulip Fest. This was my first time there but plan to go back early next week to get some portraits of my kids. Cool place and lots of color. Here are a couple of my favorites from the evening.

I don't think 1 is too bad.. except that horrid border...

I have to agree about the border--I think it detracts from the shot. But #2 is terrific--I like the balance of the shot between the windmill and the tallest red tulip on the left.

Thanks for the feedback. I've reworked #1 to remove the border. Thoughts on this version?

Thanks guys. I'm thinking about entering these two in the annual TulipFest photo contest. Any advice on how to make these better for competition would be appreciated.
