I am debating to myself if I should get this camera to supplement my Nikon d800. I hear that it has 13 stops of dynamic range in video mode. This is better than the nikon in video mode.

Same here, but I always get those first news thoughts. I prefer to let things simmer a bit. Eek out the good with the bad and go from there. A dedicated cinematic camera that shoots RAW for $3k though does have me patiently watching. Especially since every lens I have will hang off of it's front, the dynamic range and so forth.

One of the appealing things about this camera is the higher resolution. To be able to crop more without losing resolution is very attractive. I just wonder how much resolving ability the sensor actually has, the images seemed a little soft to me. I can't wait until it is really tested in a lab and some other real world tests.
