Two days in a row I've had a short window to get uploads done. Too days in a row you've been in read only mode during that window.

I use lots of subscription-based web services. Most tech publications encourage people never to pay for a hosting service with less than 99.999% uptime. (That's about 8 hours of downtime a year.) You know I love Smugmug but there is no way you guys have that kind of uptime. Nothing else I use (Dropbox, SugarSync, Google, Backblaze) has this kind of downtime.

Of course you can't control when bad things happen but you guys have got to figure out ways to make it happen less and to fix it more quickly. Giving a customer an aww-shucks answer about repeated downtime is...well, I'd just encourage you not to do it.

Sorry pupator, been answering a whole lot of questions this morning - didn't mean to cut you short. We're on the job, our guys are up and at the data center fixing the problem as we speak. We don't like it any more than you do, I can assure you of that. It's not our norm and we know that when you see something happen two days in a row it looks feels smells and tastes bad. Working on it.

Interesting. I read that http://status.smugmug.com/services/entire-site and it seems that a database master was causing problems just this past March 30th.

Looks like a lot of down time just since Jan. 1st!

And you all are using Dells now? When did you all switch from Macs to Dells?? :(

Please provide a legend on this website on what the icons mean : http://status.smugmug.com/services/entire-site

It seems like there should be all kinds of red from the most recent downtime...
