i like this shot but not the way i shot it---this is were experience and being a better photo boy would help --i would like more dof ,better light :scratch try and try again
The EXIF data didn't give an ISO setting. The only thing I can think of to increase your DOF is to increase your f-stop. You're already shooting at f/5.6 at 1/50 of a second. If you increase your ISO you may be able to both increase your shutter speed to shorten the raindrop trails and increase your DOF slightly.

I agree with Dixie on increasing the ISO to get the shutter speed up so that the rain would become smaller.
Even though, I really like the angle that you took and it's an image that you do not see every day. Good work just the same.
thanks guys but the d70 and iso are something that does not go hand and hand:D if you turn up the iso you need ear muffs ---but i do have great blue i will work on this shot not this shot but shoot again -thank you for the advice and i will try and i will post settings next time

Even though the DOF is not there, I like the shot anyway. Brave soul to be out in the heavy rain. Nice job Jeff.
That's not RAIN. NO cheating. Did you get your camera working again?
keep out of this --not everyone takes a hose to the lake it is what i call my shot not not cheating and sort of still not sure what the h--- happened I can now adjust but still not right I was there for about 45min more did not get it working again until that night

not brave it was 73 but there is no light at that spot --it is a hose --a photo is to set a mood or elusion -the shot if i get it will be on the wall but not this one --and i will still call it rain --if folks can use photo shop then i can call it rain thanks steve
