buy photo when site is in read only mode, no message, bad presentation

I believe the site is in read-only mode right now, but there is no message to me as a viewer to tell me that.

If I attempt to buy a photo, I am taken to the buy screen for that image. Instead of showing available sizes, I see "null".

Either a reasonable message should be shown on the buy this photo screen, or the buy button should cause a pop-up telling the potential customer to come back later.

Thanks Denise, We noticed that yesterday and reported it to the programmers to be fixed. It should not be doing that when we are in read only mode. thanks for the report.
