The grandsons, 8 and 6, are playing their first season of
Rookie Babe Ruth Baseball. The eldest, Nikolai, plays first
base.
A sharp hopper caught him in the face. You can see how
far the ball, lower right, bounced off of him.
The coaches from both teams rushed over.
After a brief time-out, it was "Keep me in, Coach. I'm OK".
A bruise on his right cheek, and maybe a mouse tomorrow, but
he's OK. Finished up with two hits and some good glove work
at first.

Like I am not going to look with a title like this:)
Oddly enough I see all x's except the last shot, which shows a bit of the bruise under the eye--glad he's ok. It makes the heart skip a beat I know. So very close to the eye!
Baseball is not an easy sport and it has its dangers. I'm not looking forward to the first couple of games after the docs give my son the all clear.
I can't wait to see some more from your series and maybe the ones on the top of this thread too.
