Zenfolio's Favorites

There is a feature in Zenfolio I really like and am wondering if it can be done in Smugmug.
Zenfolio has a way to allow viewers to easily click on photos they like and "Add to Favorites'. Once they have selected a bunch of Fav photos, they can then Download the selected photos in a zip file. Can this be done in Smugmug? If so, how?! I have a Pro Smugmug account.

Hope that helps!

But that is useless... Viewers should be able to select what they want to download. Not me.
I will make a feature request. But then, I don't see what good that does.. the multiple levels request has been there for years, and it has never materialized.

I may be missing something regarding the Fav feature. How do visitors pick? and how do I know what they pick?
I am just saying Zenfolio's implementation is very user friendly. Sorry that sometimes I sound a little 'bitter'. I have 700GB with Smugmug and I feel like I am completely locked into your service, whether I like it or not. Mo 'migration service' will really get me out of Smugmug!
And yes I do like MOST of what I get, but even you have to admit, e.g., the multiple levels feature request has been in discussion for YEARS. And in the beginning, all Smugmug did was to defend your implementation and questioned back the users why they want to have more than 3 levels?! Frankly, the simple answer is that it should be up to us to decide.
All I can tell you is a) it's not simple and b) we're going to let you decide. I know it's been a long-asked request. And it will come, I can promise you that.

Also there seems to be a max number of galleries for an event as well. I can't add any more...
Maybe you could add your suggestion for extending the favorite limit to our feedback pages?

That way other users can vote and comment on your suggestion, and it helps us to keep track of all suggestions made. Thanks!

I appreciate your suggestion. I really do, but it just won't work. As my viewers are all 'grandparents'. A simpler implementation like Zenfolio's Fav is all I need and will work just fine.

I econd that. While I see the point of Events, it is a not a universal solution. Something simple (like cookie based) would have been far easier to understand, use, and implement and will be far more universal in its application.
I hope Smugmug will implement something similar to Zenfolio's Fav function.
I like Smugmug a lot, and love the support here, but I really wonder why some of the decisions are made throughout the years... as if they had one too many meetings and ended up with a most non intuitive solution to a simple problem.
I also agree with this. I shoot a lot of senior portraits and setting up an event is not a very clean way to do things for each senior I shoot.
Is this still the case? I can't believe there is no simple way to pick favorites from a Business account gallery, and no way whatsoever to easily pick favorites at any other account level!
Really???
