Franz Josef and Fox Glaciers - New Zealand

I am going to post about my trip to New Zealand and Australia in Journeys, but I thought I would post a few glacier photos here to get any feedback while I am in the midst of processing them. Thanks!

We only had a brief time to go to a viewing platform for Franz Josef Glacier and the sun was just getting up from its slumber:



We did take a half day walk out onto Fox Glacier. Here is Fox Glacier-see if you can see the tiny group of people on top of the glacier:



Approaching Fox Glacier:



On the glacier, looking up the mountains towards the glacier source (it eventually curves around to the right miles uphill):



Looking down towards the valley floor (where it once was). You can kind of see where the glacier drops off:



Headed off the glacier:



Some of these were difficult because I was shooting towards the sun with the light bouncing off of the glacier.

Any C+C would be appreciated. I am still a complete newbie when it comes to photo editing (using LR3).

These are great! Awesome terrain. You had a very wide dynamic range to deal with here and overall you did very well. The first one looks a bit dull, but maybe that couldn't be helped. The rest look really good.

Thanks-much appreciated. You're spot on with the first one. I had trouble bumping it up and keeping snow at the top of the mountains separated from the sky.
