Birds at Naburn Lock, North Yorksire
I had a whistle stop trip to York and stayed in Cawood Park Caravan Site. I had a few short periods where I was free to photograph wildlife and remembered that this location was species rich. These were some of the birds I saw over a 40 minute period, early on Friday morning.

#1 Greylag Goose (Anser anser)
A pair of these were grazing behind the British Waterways building.

#2 Goldfinch (Carduelis carduelis)

#3 Linnet (Carduelis cannabina)

#4 Female Mallard (Anas platyrhynchos) fluffing up.

#5 Male Reed Bunting (Emberiza schoeniclus).

#6 As I watched, this Pied Wagtail (Motacilla alba) stalked across the grass trying to alarm and catch insects in it's path.

#7 This male Blackbird (Turdus merula), was keeping in the bushes with its nest nearby.

#8 This Blue Tit (Cyanistes caeruleus) was all fluffed up on this cold, damp morning.
Hope you like these.
