Doesn't look like planking to me or "face down"--this is strange indeed. It's close to finals, maybe she's losing it. Is that a cup of coffee on the floor?
It reminds me of something a small child would do (you know they have no filters, they do what the feel)--maybe she's regressing.

It is a cup of coffee, Liz. And, btw, she is stretched out on the path that runs around the large park to which I take my pups, the path on which everyone walks their dogs, on and off leash. This was taken at about 8 a.m., the height of dog walking time. That she hadn't yet been peed on is amazing. And your last comment about small children and filters is spot on.
