    I think it is a great idea for texture, but needs a bit of refining. It's a bit too bright/blown, and it loses some texture because of that. It's also a bit out of focus, and personally, I'm not fond of the pink and blue. Try re-shooting it and see what you can come up with - give a few options for opinion.

    All valid points. I don't own any lighting gear :-(. I really need to get some. This was a lamp and a blue flashlight. I might have a better submission.

    It's a gator and thanks. It was my first choice, but I wasn't crazy about the grass. He decided to move and I didn't get a second chance.

    Maybe B&W to minimize the green attracting the eye? I definitely like the gator better than the muffin.
